It’s amazing what a little scum from the deep can do to inspire you to get better. If you’re a designer, and you’re in a position where you have very little choice but to go down a route of despicable branding, you’ll quickly see why something like Monthly Brand is necessary as an outlet. Fictitious clients will never get stubborn, will never be close-minded, will always like your ideas. Real clients can sometimes get in a corner where they believe they have the experience that the designer does. Designers do not go to their clients and suggest, or insist, that they perform their services differently, or make their product a certain way. It’s presumptuous and condescending.
Poor design like this should be spanked. The only way it can be spanked is with equally rich and meaningful design on the polar end.
